I have something very important to say!!!

Hello everyone,

I know I m such a bad blogger at the moment but there is something very important I need to tell you.

In June/July there will be an extra person living in our house. I am pregnant :D

I am so happy especially after being sent for fertility treatment, we did it without it so it's a big victory!

Here is a question to all of you mums. Any tricks to deal with morning (all day) sickness? I have to be off work because it is so bad and have spent the last days between my bed and the bathroom... any advice is welcome :D

I know it should stop at the end of the first trimester and if it is what you have to go through to have a baby then fair enough.

I had to get unfilled a bit but they will not unfill it completely but will monitor everything very closely.

I am losing weight since I found out : 3kgs so thats good. They asked me to try not to put on weight during the first trimester and then I will have to try and put on not more than the baby/water/placenta/etc... weight.

I hope you are having a great week end :)

  1. Congrats Julie. My only contribution is that when you have morning sickness, they say it is a sign of a healthy pregnancy. Hang in there honey, it will get better!

  2. My nausea and vomiting was worst by far with my twins, I took half of a Unisom tablet (doxylamine) and one B-6 vitamin before bed for most of my first trimester, it did help but didn't make it stop completely.

  7. Congratulations!!
I found avoiding most dairy products helped as it seemed immediately curdle. Also, avoiding strong smells as that would set me off but I might be a freak!
Here's to a happy and healthy 9 months!

  8. CONGRATS!!! Welcome to the club!!! :) I am due May 10th!! Isn't it exciting??

Now onto the morning sickness...I lived off of saltines and gingerale (I was given the okay for small amounts of the bubbly stuff to help with the nausea)...They make these things called "preggie pops" I know you can find them online...they worked too. Emetrol is an over the counter anti-nausea medication that is safe to take. (Sometimes hard candies help too)

Here is a link to all the safe meds and dosages for pregnancy...in case ur MD hasn't given you one. http://www.tamc.amedd.army.mil/offices/obgyn/PregnancyMedications.htm

Once you hit 10 weeks they can give you prescription anti-nausea meds...I am on Zofran...It is like the best stuff EVER.

Oh, I am so happy for you!!! Feel free to shoot me an e-mail!! (Granted this is my first pregnancy...but still!!!) mrs.maitre328@gmail.com!!

    Nikki

  9. I am so happy for you. Not much helps the nausea. I ended up on the prescription drugs and took them well into my 5th month. My kids turned out ok and the drugs are still on the market. My biggest mistake was NOT eating. I always got worse. Some people are able to get through without drugs, so I'm not promoting it. If you can do without them, that is great. My problem was getting too dehydrated that it might have harmed the baby.

Good luck! The bundle at the end is well worth it.

  10. congrats, I hope your sickness has ended by now. If not I took 1/4 phernergan tablet the entire pregnancy with my first and 4mg zofran as needed with my second. I was sick until delivery with both, as someone else said, sickness is a sign of a healthy pregnancy :)
